JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION, 18TH CIRCUIT

RE: JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION SEEKS APPLICANT FOR A VACANCY ON THE BREVARD COUNTY, COUNTY COURT




     The Eighteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will meet on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at the Brevard County Commission Chambers, Government Center Comission Room, Building C, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, Florida to conduct interviews of all applicants for the judicial seat being vacated by the Honorable Thomas M. Barlow, Jr. of the Brevard County Court. The interviews are open to the public.

     The interview times assigned for the applicants are as follows:
9:00 a.m.		Shannon L. Wilson
9.20 a.m.		Diana Tual
9:40 a.m.		Jeffrey G. Thompson
10:00 a.m.		Nancy M. Sturgill
10:20 a.m.		William L. Powell, Jr.
11:00 a.m.		Peter R. Pancoast
11:20 a.m.		James M. Nicholas
11:40 a.m.		Kevin J. Mawn
1:30 p.m.		David C. Koenig 
1:50 p.m.		John M. Harris
2:10 p.m.		James H. Earp 
2:30 p.m.		Sam B. Bardwell
2:50 p.m.		Lia L. Allawas

     Following the conclusion of the interviews, the Commission will go into executive session for deliberation. At least three, but no more than six, names will be selected and forwarded by February 11, 2002 to the Governor for consideration. Governor Bush then has sixty (60) days in which to make his selection.
