RE:     SELECTION OF NOMINEES FOR A SEMINOLE COUNTY JUDGE VACANCY IN THE EIGHTEENTH CIRCUIT

Following interviews with all 22 applicants on Thursday, March 1, 2007, the 18th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) nominated six applicants for the Seminole County Judge vacancy in the 18th Judicial Circuit Court.  The vacancy was created by the removal by the Florida Supreme Court of Seminole County Judge John Sloop.
 
The following six candidates, listed in alphabetical order, are recommended to Governor Charlie Crist for his consideration to fill said vacancy:            

  1. Jeffrey D. Deen
  2. James Joseph DeKleva
  3. W.A. Randolph McClean
  4. Susan P. Pierce
  5. James Robert Valerino
  6. John L. Woodard III
