RE: 18TH CIRCUIT JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION SEEKS SEMINOLE COUNTY COURT JUDGE APPLICANTS (2 pages)
Applicants are being sought to fill a judicial vacancy in the Seminole County Court. This appointment is to fill the vacancy in the Seminole County Court resulting from the disciplinary removal of Judge John R. Sloop.
Applicants must have been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding five (5) years, and must be electors of the State of Florida.
The deadline for submitting all applications for the Seminole County Court vacancy is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007. An original and nine (9) copies of the completed and signed application and attachments for Seminole County Judge must be delivered by the deadline to:

Applications will be reviewed by the members of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and candidate interviews will be scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Sanford Airport Authority, Board Room, in Sanford, Florida. From the candidates interviewed, at least three (3), but no more than six (6) will be nominated to Governor Charlie Crist. The Governor has sixty (60) days from the receipt of the names to make the appointments.
