18TH CIRCUIT JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION

RE: 18TH CIRCUIT JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION APPLICANT AND INTERVIEW TIMES FOR A VACANCY ON THE SEMINOLE COUNTY, COUNTY COURT; A VACANCY ON THE BREVARD COUNTY, COUNTY COURT; AND A VACANCY ON THE EIGHTEENTH CIRCUIT, CIRCUIT COURT.

          The Eighteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will meet on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Brevard County Government Center, Building “C”, 3rd Floor, Florida Room, in Viera, Florida to conduct interviews of all applicants for the Brevard County, County Court position and the Eighteenth Circuit, Circuit Court position, both of which were created by the 2005 Florida Legislature. The interviews are open to the public, but the applicants are requested to remain outside the interview room except during their interview.

        The interview times assigned to the Brevard County, County Court and 18th Circuit, Circuit Court applicants are as follows:

        The Eighteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will meet on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Sanford Airport Authority, Board Room, in Sanford, Florida to conduct interviews of all applicants for the Seminole County, County Court position created by the 2005 Florida Legislature. The interviews are open to the public, but the applicants are requested to remain outside the interview room except during their interview.

        The interview times assigned to the Seminole County, County Court applicants are as follows:

          Following the conclusion of the interviews on each date, the Commission will go into executive session for deliberation. At least three, but no more than six names for each position will be selected and forwarded by October 25, 2005 to the Governor for consideration. Governor Bush then has sixty (60) days in which to make his selection.
