JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION, 18TH CIRCUIT
JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR A VACANCY ON THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE EIGHTEENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, SEMINOLE COUNTY
Applicants are being sought to fill a seat on the Sminole County Circuit Court being vacated by the Honorable Thomas G. Freeman as the result of the retirement of Judge Freeman, effective June 30, 2003. The appointed Circuit Court Judge will tak eoffice on June 30, 2003.
Applicants must have been a member of the Florida Bar for the preceeding five (5) years, must be electors of the state of Florida and must reside in Brevard or Seminole Counties.
The deadline for submitting all applications is Friday, May 30, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. An original and nine (9) copies of the completed application and attachments for these positions must be delivered by the foregoing deadline to:

Applications will be screened by the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and candidate interviews held on a date to be announced. From the pool of candidates interviewed, at least three (3), but no more than six (6) names will be submitted to the Governor. The Governor has sixty (60) days from the receipt of the names to make the appointments.
Applications may be obtained from the Judicial Nominating Commission's website at www.18jnc.com. Due to the possibility of future judicial vacancies within the Eighteenth Circuit, all applications submitted timely will be retained for six months.
